Ryan Phillippe thinks his ex-wife's new beau is a "good dude." The "Flags of our Fathers" star says he doesn't have any grudge against Reese Witherspoon and her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal and in fact, he wants her to be happy.
Speaking on "The Howard Stern Show" Thursday, Phillippe, 33, said of Gyllenhaal, "He's a good dude."
The actor also added, "I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is."
Phillippe and Witherspoon, co-stars to 1999 teen drama "Cruel Intentions," got married on June 5, 1999. They have 2 kids together: Ava, born September 1999, and Deacon, born October 2003. The couple separated in October 2006 and their divorced was finalized a year later.
The "Stop-Loss" actor also denied involvement with Britney Spears and Ashlee Simpson in 2007. However, he admitted that although he did not have sex with his "I Know What You Did Last Summer" co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt, he did think about it.
He confessed, "It did occur to me. She was very young and her mother was there all the time... but I was in a hot tub with her when she was 18."
