In an unfortunate turn of events, just as soon as she was brought into this world, she was gone again.
Run from 80s rap group Run DMC has made it publicly known he tragically lost his newborn baby daughter earlier this week.
Rapper-turned-preacher Joseph Simmons's family star in MTV reality show "Run's House" and the birth of their sixth child was to be shown in the new series of the show.
Reverend Run's wife Justine Simmons became pregnant during the last series and the MTV cameras were allowed to film and witness the birth. But doctors, who delivered the baby by Caesarean, tragically found she had vital organs on the outside of her body, and she died shortly afterwards.
The delivery took place at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey last Thursday.
Run has insisted he wont let the tragedy ruin his religious beliefs and has revealed he and Justine had already chosen a name for their daughter.
He released a statement saying, "On September 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons, for some unknown reason, chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive. We must accept whatever is there and once you accept unconditionally, then everything is beautiful. Every pain has a purifying effect. So whatever comes your way, just be thankful."
Run DMC had several hits including duet "Walk this Way" with Aerosmith.
