In the upcoming weeks, the British Royal Family are planning to throw a party for Queen Elizabeth.
The queen is said to have been really upset after being forced to cancel public appearances due to her recent back pain. But the royal family are hoping they can cheer her up with a private party.
The monarch pulled a muscle in her back while vacationing at Balmoral castle in August and it has transpired that she suffers from chronic sciatica. As a result of the excruciating back pain, the 80-year-old has grudgingly had to cancel several public engagements, a move that is said to have caused her great upset.
In order to take the royal's mind off her condition, a party described as a "very grand bring-a-bottle-party" is being planned for her later this month.
A source told Britain's Sunday Express newspaper, "A jolly is in the offing to boast morale and thank the queen for her friendship. She doesn't get the opportunity to spend that much time with her closest friends. It will be her kind of party, where she can relax with her nearest and dearest."
It is not known where the party will be held, although the last gathering the queen hosted was at Windsor Castle, said to be her favorite royal residence, to mark her 80th birthday in April.
The gathering will also mark the anniversary of her marriage to Prince Philip and will kick-start the royal family's Christmas celebration, which this year is said to be taking place at Sandringham, in Norfolk.
It is thought that Princes William and Harry are hoping the queen will agree to invite their respective girlfriends, Kate Middleton and Chelsy Davy, to join them at the royal residence for the festive season.
