Former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell has come to the rescue of teen sensation Miley Cyrus and her photography scandal. Cyrus, who posed for photos in Vanity Fair, has been on the media hot seat since the magazine released the photos.
O'Donnell, for one, thinks the photos are beautiful and in no way pornographic, as some have suggested. Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz did the photo shoot, including a photo of Cyrus that features the young star holding a sheet in front of her and shows her exposed back.
In the interview for Vanity Fair, Cyrus said she and Leibovitz discussed the photo shoot and Cyrus thought it sounded fine. When the photos were released, however, Cyrus said she felt embarrassed and apologized about the photos.
O'Donnell wrote on her blog in defense of Cyrus, saying she has also done two photo shoots with the famed photographer and that working with her can be intimidating.
"Listen, Annie Leibovitz - I had two photo shoots with her," O'Donnell says. "You kind of do what she says. It's intimidating. I also didn't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was sort of a beautiful portrait."
O'Donnell continued: "I like the one of her and her dad, too. I don't know. It's Annie Leibovitz, people."
