Sir Paul McCartney has made his first public appearance with his new girlfriend.

The Beatles legend was accompanied by 47-year-old multi-millionaire heiress Nancy Shevell as he was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from Connecticut's Yale University on Monday.

Heather Mills isn't going down without a fight. The former wife of Beatle Paul McCartney isn't supposed to talk about her ex-husband, but apparently she can talk about his girlfriends.

Under the terms of her recent divorce from McCartney, which was supposedly valued around $50 million, Mills is not allowed to discuss her ex-husband. While the divorce may be over, Mills is still fighting. She wants to be able to speak about her marriage and have the full transcripts of the trial made public.

The Beatles legend, whose four-year marriage to Heather Mills officially ended last month, has been on vacation with U.S. heiress Nancy Shevell but is also said to be romancing actress Rosanna Arquette and former Olympic horse rider Tanya Larrigan.
