John Travolta and Robin Williams once crashed a wedding together.

The American actors decided after a night of drinking together in Santa Barbara, California, they would join in with the celebrations next door to the bar they were at.

Funnyman Robin Williams was given just two weeks to live before his heart surgery. The 57-year-old actor revealed to David Letterman on his late night show that the surgery has extended his life.

Williams had to postpone his "Weapons of Self-Destruction" one-man comedy tour in March after doctors advised him to undergo surgery to replace an aortic valve replacement.

Robin Williams joked he now has a "cow valve" in his heart after undergoing surgery. The comic star laughed his way through his first public appearance since undergoing heart surgery two months ago, on TV program "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Speaking to the host, Robin said: "I have one new valve and a repaired valve. I have a cow valve, which is great, and the grazing has been fun - and I give a good quart of cream, too, my friend."

Robin Williams is recovering well after having heart surgery. The comedian underwent a three-and-a-half hour operation at Ohio's Cleveland Clinic on March 13 and is now resting.

Staff cardiothoracic surgeon A. Marc Gillinov, M.D. said: "Mr. Williams' operation went extremely well, and we expect him to make a full recovery. The surgery was conducted to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve and correct his irregular heartbeat. A couple hours after surgery, he was entertaining the medical team and making us all laugh."
