Funny man Robin Williams may not be laughing for a while. His wife of 19 years, Marsha Garces Williams, filed for divorce on March 21 in San Francisco citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have two children together, daughter Zelda, 18, and son Cody, 16.
Garces, 51, and Williams, 56, were married in April 1989, shortly after the actor divorced his previous wife. According to the eight-page court document, Garces is asking for joint legal custody of Cody. Their son would live with her and Williams would get visitation, as well as pay the attorney fees and spousal support which has yet to be determined.
The papers also indicated that Garces will ask the court to divide their property once all the assets have been determined.
During the couple's marriage, Garces helped produce several of her husband's films including "Jakob the Liar," "Patch Adams" and "Mrs. Doubtfire."
