Two Musical Legends Unite For A Duet Together

Sir Mick Jagger is releasing a duet with John Lennon. The song - entitled 'Too Many Cooks (Spoil the Soup)' - was recorded by the legendary musicians over 30 years ago and will feature on Jagger's new compilation album 'The Very Best of Mick Jagger.'

The track features Jagger on vocals, the late Lennon on guitar and Lennon's fellow Beatle Ringo Starr on drums. It was recorded in Los Angeles in 1973 and was produced by Lennon.

Former James Bond Hunk Lands New Role

Pierce Brosnan is to be the new voice of Thomas the Tank Engine. The 54-year-old actor - who played suave spy James Bond for seven years - will narrate the popular children's TV series 'Thomas and Friends', based on Reverend W.V. Awdry's books about a busy railway station on the Island of Sodor.

Pierce is the latest in a long-line of distinguished talents, including former Beatle Ringo Starr, Alec Baldwin and Michael Brandon, to take on the role since the TV series first aired in 1984.

Yoko Ono is reluctant to write her autobiography because she is worried it will hurt people close to The Beatles. The 74-year-old singer - the widow of murdered former Beatle John Lennon - admits she will have to tread carefully with her memoirs, to avoid upsetting the Fab Four's children and families.

She said: "I want to write my autobiography one day, but still don't have the time. Also, there are things that I can't write because it may hurt someone. I think about how it might hurt (their) children, and I don't want to do that."

Sir Paul McCartney laughed off Oasis' claims they would be "bigger than The Beatles". The Fab Four legend pities musicians who try to compete with The Beatles' success.

Paul told Newsweek magazine: "When they started out, Oasis boasted that they were going to be bigger than The Beatles. And I felt sorry for them. It's a prediction that just doesn't come true. It's a fatal prediction. I sort of sit back and go, 'Good luck, son.'"

Paul reportedly wants to bring his late Beatles band member Lennon back from the grave on a new song. He is said to be desperate to work on the abandoned Lennon solo track "Now And Then" and possibly release it as a single.
