Rumor has it that Richard Gere is the favorite to replace Bill Pullman in the upcoming remake of "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" starring opposite Debra Winger.
According to FoxNews.com, Pullman had to pull out of the Broadway show because of a schedule conflict. The production is currently on hold while a replacement for Pullman is found.
If Gere decides to accept the role, it will be his first time appearing on Broadway since he appeared in "Bent" in the early 80s.
The play is based on the comedy-drama movie from 1968, starring Kathryn Hepburn and Spencer Tracey. The story was groundbreaking for the day, telling of a daughter who brings home a black fiance and her parents concern.
Winger will play the Hepburn's character, while Amanda Bynes has been cast to play the couple's daughter.
Winger and Gere have not worked together since they starred as the feuding couple in "An Officer and a Gentleman" in 1982.
