Lance Bass came out to Britney Spears to make her feel better about her own life. The singer - who publicly announced he was gay on the front of People magazine in July 2006 - says Britney was the first person he ever told, on the night she infamously wed her childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander in January 2004.

Lance said: "It was the night of her first wedding, actually. I was in Las Vegas with her, her dancers, her manager, and my boyfriend at the time. Her manager had already gotten rid of Jason - they'd flown him home."

Lance Bass has confirmed he is single again.

Reichen Lehmkuhl, boyfriend of pop star Lance Bass says he was targeted while in the Air Force because of his sexuality, even becoming the victim of a sexual assault.

Lehmkuhl said a bag was put over his head, he was stripped and then forced to perform sex acts on two other male cadets. He served out his commitment to the armed forces and was discharged five years ago.
