Reese Witherspoon have only recently admitted that they are dating but don't expect any more big surprises from the ultra-private couple.
According to The National Enquirer magazine, Reese and Jake will not be announcing their engagement anytime soon as the Oscar winner recently turned down her boyfriends marriage proposal.
A source told the tabloid that "Brokeback Mountain" star Jake got down on one knee and asked mother-of-two Reese to be his bride, but the newly divorced star refused his offer.
The insider revealed, "Reese says it is just too soon after her divorce from Ryan to think about marrying again. She is madly in love with Jake, but her divorce just became final, and she doesn't want to rush into anything."
The "Walk The Line" actress split from husband Ryan Phillippe in October 2006 after years of dodging rumors of a split. The couple now share joint custody of their children.
The source added, "Reese wants to take things very slowly because of her two young children. She doesn't want anything to upset or disrupt them. It took her a while to introduce them to Jake - she didn't want them to know they were a couple until they were definitely serious about each other."
Reese is mom to Ava and Deacon.
