Jake Gyllenhaal went trick or treating on Halloween with lover Reese Witherspoon and her children.
The couple - who met on the set of their film "Rendition" earlier this year but did not go public with their romance until October - accompanied eight-year-old Ava and four-year-old Deacon, Reese's kids with ex-husband Ryan Phillipe, as they collected candy door-to-door.
A source told Us Weekly magazine, "They were holding hands and swinging them in the air as they walked around the neighborhood. Reese was laughing at everything Jake was saying."
"While the kids went to knock on doors Reese and Jake waited on the sidewalk and flirted."
"Jake tapped Reese on the butt and then she hit him back - they began running in a circle hitting each other! Then Jake picked Reese up off her feet and she playfully screamed."
Reese, 31, was dressed as a witch, as was daughter Ava. Jake, 26, was dressed in a gorilla suit, while Deacon wore a superhero outfit.
The source added, "Jake ran up to Deacon with the gorilla mask and pretended to scare him, but Deacon just laughed. Sometimes Jake came up to Reese from behind and nuzzled his big hairy mask into her neck."
