Britney Spears may have thought she was doing a good thing addressing her recent behavior via a letter on her website. However, even when she is trying to explain herself to the public and her fans, some people are still trying to find the problems between the lines.
Now that her behavior is a lot more normal than back in the days when she was shaving her head and partying with Paris Hilton, Britney has given some insight.
But her rambling letter may have had a hidden message, or at least that is what many skeptics would like to believe. With Paris now in jail, and the Britney/Paris friendship over, the truth about their fall out could be in the letter.
Britney wrote, "Being in that vulnerable state and taken to dinners and parties with friends and finding out later you paid for everything was a huge learning lesson for me. You never know another person's intentions or what another person wants.
"I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with. I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life. I have had to cut so many people out of my life."
Britney has cut many people out of her life - including her manager, her mother and her father - but Paris is the most high profile friend to be kicked to the curb.
Licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Andrea Bonior, has investigated the latter for The Washington Post newspaper. Dr. Andrea Bonior looked at the writing as a bunch of contradictions, namely the singer's declarations that no one is to blame... and then blaming other people.
Dr. Bonior concluded, "Splitting these hairs might mean that Britney is still unsure of what to make of the past few months, and perhaps she's not quite as transformed as she'd like to be.
"It could also be a sign of defensiveness, in that she doesn't deign to be associated with people who have problems with depression or alcohol abuse, despite their being the most common psychological disorders in the United States."
Of Britney's decision to move away from certain people, the clinical psychologist said, "It makes me wonder if she's struggling with her own mother as well, as she talks of how having to cut people out of her life is particularly sad because she is a 'family person' making one imagine that some of those on the chopping block are very familiar indeed."
Britney has been busy on a mini-tour and recording a new album. She has been desperately trying to turn her life around since her well-publicized downfall.
