An Orange County District Attorney filed a count of felony on Thursday, charging Calvin Broadus, better known as Snoop Dogg, with carrying a deadly weapon into John Wayne International Airport last September.
It is but another in a series of separate charges filed against the rapper for alleged illegal activity at airports.
On October 26, Broadus was arrested at Bob Hope International Airport in Burbank on charges of illegal drug and gun possession.
Last Spring, the rapper and several other men were arrested in London's Heathrow Airport on charges of violent disorder after a fight broke out when members of Broadus' entourage were denied access to a first-class lounge.
The felony charge filed on Thursday centers around the rapper's alleged possession of a collapsible baton in his carryon on September 27.
Deputy District Attorney Andre Manssourian called the baton a dangerous and illegal weapon.
According to a sheriff's spokesperson, Snoop claimed that the baton was simply a prop for a movie.
With the charge, a warrant for the rapper's arrest, and a bail of $150,000, were issued, Orange County prosecutors said.
The rapper's lawyer called the charges bogus. "The DA knows that, Snoop knows that. If this goes to trial, we will win," he said Thursday afternoon.
