Most of Hollywood's 'It' girls are walking down Sunset Boulevard in vintage threads and oversized sunglasses for one reason - Rachel Zoe.
Think Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, Keira Knightly and Lindsay Lohan.
The celebrity stylist, who has become as mentionable as her clients, has created a bohemian glamour look that has taken Hollywood by storm. However, while she is experiencing tremendous success - her services cost up to $6000 per day - Zoe is also plagued by negative rumors.
Reports have persistently pointed at Zoe for starting the size zero craze - currently sported by Richie, Mary-Kate Olsen and Kate Bosworth. The reports suggest that the actresses start shrinking after being giving drugs such as Crystal Meth by Zoe.
However, the fashion heavyweight has constantly dismissed the rumors, telling The New York Times, "It's like being punished by your parents for something you didn't do."
The conservative 35-year-old, who lives in Los Angeles with her husband, continued, "I've never touched a drug in my life. Until recently, I didn't even know what crystal meth was. And I haven't known the name of a diet drug since Dexatrim in the '80s. The only person I've told to lose weight is my mom."
But it is not only rumors that have kept Zoe in the tabloids. A star now in her own right, she is regularly seen at parties and industry events with one of her "girls".
She said, "I never set out to be in the public eye...Over the last year I've learned to develop a really thick skin."
Forging a bond with many starlets on the A-list, Zoe said, "I nurture these girls. We're like family. I don't know how to do it any other way. We laugh, we fight, we let our guards down. If we bond, we have to hang out."
As seasons change, so will Zoe's trademark looks. What's hot for next season? The fashionista said, "I'm going to head toward a polished lady look. I'm feeling Grace Kelly. I like to mix it up."
