Rachel Bilson loved "smacking" Hayden Christensen in their new movie. The 26-year-old actress - who plays Millie, the love interest of Hayden's teleporting character David Rice in 'Jumper' - didn't hold back when she was told to slap and kick Hayden in the action film.

She said: "Oh yeah, I smacked him for real. There was no problem there, it was fun. I also got to kick him on the ground. I don't know if you can really see it because it's slightly off camera but it's there."

Hayden added: "The director Doug Liman was adamant that she give me a good hit!"

Rachel also revealed she was petrified about working with her idol Samuel L. Jackson, who stars as the leader of the Paladins who are sworn to kill the Jumpers.

The former 'O.C.' star told BANG Showbiz: "I was intimated at first. He is a huge movie star, Samuel L. Jackson, and I had grown up watching him."

"The first scene I had with him he was throwing me into a wall. It was one of those situations where you pinch yourself and think 'Is this really happening?'"

"But he really does exude cool. One of my privileges working with him was that I got to call him Sam. I hope he is OK with it, I'm still a bit nervous about it."
