| A letter written by Britain's late Princess Diana on her honeymoon is set to be auctioned. The princess wrote to royal footman Mark Simpson two days after her July 1981 wedding to Prince Charles to thank him for looking after her while she stayed at London's Buckingham Palace during the run up to her big day. In the note - which is expected to fetch up to $5,200 when it is sold at auctioneers Reeman Dansie in Colchester, Essex - the princess admits feeling "terribly lonely" in the days before her wedding. | |
| Kate Middleton is being "hounded" by paparazzi in the same way as Britain's late Princess Diana was, says the coroner who investigated the royal's death. Lord Justice Scott Baker, claims Kate - the girlfriend of Diana's son, Prince William - receives much the same amount of media attention as Diana did, suggesting the issue of the paparazzi is still a serious one for the royals. | |
| Kanye West claims he is like the late Princess Diana. The "Stronger" rapper claims he is being hounded by photographers in the same way that Diana - who was tragically killed in a 1997 car crash as her driver tried to escape chasing paparazzi - was following his arrest for allegedly assaulting a photographer in Newcastle, England, last week. Writing on his blog, he wrote: "Regardless of how much light I put out, there are people working just as hard to only deliver darkness." | |
| Britain's Prince William came to the aid of badly injured car accident victims following a night out. The 27-year-old prince made his vehicle stop after a car and van collided head-on in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Although William - whose mother Princess Diana passed away in 1997 after a fatal car accident in Paris - was banned from leaving his limousine to help because of strict anti-kidnap rules, he ordered his protection team, who are all trained in first aid, to help the victims until an ambulance arrived. | |
| Britain's Princess Diana once stunned workmen by greeting them in her dressing gown and tiara. The late princess' former chef Mervyn Wycherley has spoken out about the 13 years he spent working for Diana and her ex-husband, Prince Charles, revealing Diana regularly visited the kitchen at Kensington Palace - including one encounter where she stunned workmen. | |
| Britain's Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell is returning to the U.K. Paul - who worked for the princess for 10 years until her death in 1997 and has since carved out a career for himself based on his connection to the late royal - will leave his Florida home to join his wife Maria and help look after the family florist business in Cheshire, England. | |
