Kate Middleton, the ex-girlfriend of Britain's Prince William, has gotten some words of advice from socialite Tara Palmer Tomkinson. The 25-year-old brunette - who split from the prince last month - had a cozy chat with the "Comic Relief Does Fame Academy" winner at the launch party for author Simon Sebag Montefiore's new book "Young Stalin" on Monday.
Tara, a childhood friend of the prince, was overheard telling Kate: "Keep your chin up Kate. Don't let them get you down, you will be fine."
Kate - who looked stunning in a white lace dress - arrived at her friend's glitzy London event with younger sister Pippa, 22.
She told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I'm here for Simon. I'm really looking forward to reading his book because I studied history of art and anything historical interests me."
The accessories buyer for higstreet chain Jigsaw appeared to make quite an impression on the other guests.
One party-goer, Kelly Allen, said: "Kate looked stunning - all the girls at the party were envious of her glossy hair and fantastic figure.
"And the nice thing about her is that she was eating and drinking all night, not dieting and depriving herself like some celebrities."
