Britain's Prince Charles was recently passed over by the Royal Watercolor Society (RWS) after they forgot to ask the royal to donate one of his paintings for their recent exhibition. The incident unfortunately left Charles in the dark and none of his artwork up for public display.

The prince is an honorary member of the RWS, however, the society failed to ask him to donate an art piece before their fall show opened at London's Bankside Gallery last week.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth apparently likes to spoil her dogs and give the fury animals royal treatment as well. Former Home Secretary David Blunkett recently revealed in a new book that the queen would cut up her corgis' dog food with a knife and fork.

The retired Secretary of State, who is blind, discovered the queen's penchant for helping her beloved dogs with their dinner when she offered to help him cut up his meat when they sat next to each other during a formal lunch.

Prince Charles' wife was recently inducted as an honorary member of a female organization. Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, has become an honorary member of the Scottish Women's Rural Institutes (SWRI).

Camilla - who is the wife of Britain's Prince Charles - joined the Ballater branch of the organization in Royal Deeside.

Prince Charles surprised listeners with a special treat and gave his support to National Poetry Day on Thursday. The British prince read a popular poem on the radio as his personal contribution to the widely celebrated day.

A pre-recorded reading by the prince of Robert Byron's poem "All These I Learnt" was aired on the BBC Radio 4's "Today" show on Thursday morning.
