| Britain's Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton shocked cinema-goers by popping in to watch a movie. The heir-to-the-throne and his partner of around eight years sneaked into a showing of "The Hangover" - in which a group of men go on a stag night and wake up the following morning with no memory of what happened - in West London. A source said: "No-one expected royalty but they acted like normal people off the street. It was dark so not many people had any idea who they were. I think they liked the anonymity." | |
| Nobody recognizes Britain's Prince Edward. The 45-year-old son of Queen Elizabeth - often referred to as the "spare" royal as he is unlikely to ever ascend to the throne - was completely ignored by locals and tourists during a recent holiday to the Isle of Scilly, off the coast of Cornwall. The Earl of Wessex, his wife Sophie and their children Princess Louise, five, and Prince James, 18 months, spent 10 days enjoying the sun at Edward's brother Prince Charles' bungalow. | |
| Britain's Prince William will reportedly marry in 2012. The prince and long-term girlfriend Kate Middleton, both 27, have an "understanding" that they will walk down the aisle before Queen Elizabeth's diamond jubilee in 2012 after William and brother Prince Harry have been established as a "winning double act" in a series of interviews, official engagements and foreign trips planned for next year. | |
| Britain's Duchess of Cornwall has been given a necklace to protect against vampire bites. Camilla - the wife of Prince Charles - was given a gift by artist Vanessa Scully when she represented The Prince's Trust at a Buckingham Palace garden party to launch a new youth scheme. Vanessa told the East London Advertiser: "I told Prince Charles about my new jewelry label. I had prepared a gift for Camilla from my new collection inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula. | |
| Fragments of Britain's late Princess Diana's wedding dress are being sold for £15,500 [$26,250]. The collage of off cuts from the gown, which Diana wore for her 1981 marriage to Prince Charles, is being sold on internet auction site eBay, but the price has been cut to ensure a quick sale. The site advert includes the comment: "Seriously reduced for quick sale!" | |
| Britain's Prince Harry is getting motorcycling lessons from a champion racer. Sunshine Coast rider Chris Vermeulen was stunned when he received a call from Buckingham Palace inviting him to visit London to meet the prince, a keen bike fan. Queensland-born Chris revealed: "Harry really enjoys his riding and he wants to get on the track. Obviously there are security issues with him being out on the circuit with a lot of people." | |
