Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has blamed the royal family for her failed marriage to Britain's Prince Andrew.

Sarah was left devastated when Andrew was sent to sea with the Royal Navy for five years, just days after they married in 1986.

Britain's Prince Andrew escorted a new female companion to Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot on Thursday. The prince was accompanied by socialite Goga Ashkenazi for the second day of the prestigious Berkshire horseracing event.

Britain's Daily Express newspaper reports Andrew and Goga spent the entire afternoon together in the Royal Box.

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has offered her support to Paris Hilton's parents. The duchess - the ex-wife of Britain's Prince Andrew - spotted the jailed 26-year-old's parents Rick and Kathy Hilton in a Beverley Hills restaurant on Sunday, while dining out with her three godchildren.

According to a friend quoted in PEOPLE magazine, Sarah offered Kathy her "support and strength from one mother to another."

The women in the British Royal Family upped the style stakes at the opening day at Royal Ascot on Tuesday with an array of stunning hats. The queen, in shocking pink, was in the first carriage along with husband Prince Philip and son Prince Andrew. They were followed by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, who sported an off-white dress with black embroidery, topped off with a feather trimmed hat, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, who wore an elegant cream creation.

Britain's Prince Andrew has had his "dodgy hairline" exposed by a former hairdresser. Vietnamese stylist Manh Phan - who cut the Duke of York's hair while working for Mayfair hairdresser Denise McAdam - revealed Andrew's locks are hard to style as it grows in many different directions.

Phan told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "I cut Andrew's hair in a bathroom in Buckingham Palace.
