Could it be that Victoria Beckham is failing at the one thing she is aiming to be successful at?
The former Spice Girl has pretty much given up on her singing career - aside from a brief reunion with the formally hot girl band - and is focusing her attention on being a fashion icon.
While this isn't necessarily a hard job, Posh Spice is moving to L.A. - and it has a totally different set of rules to her native London. The beachside city doesn't welcome three-piece suits and couture like the hustle and bustle of London does.
One L.A. stylist, Cliff Hoppus, has commented on Victoria's streamlined look and declared it to be too much to fit into Hollywood. He said, "LA style is all about being low key. It's not about showing you have money or class, it's about making the point that you are so comfortable in yourself that you can wear whatever you want. Real LA people know how to dress down."
As face as Cliff is concerned, the budding fashion designer has a lot to learn if she wants to be accepted on the best dressed lists in L.A. He continued, "She looks as if she wants to get noticed. Most celebrities try to avoid that when getting off a plane. She seems to want to cut a figure through the airport - which may say something about her personality."
Victoria has spent many years floating around the streets of London and Madrid with sky-high heels, a fake tan, fake nails and sometimes even fake hair. But not even her new L.A.-esque hairstyle is ringing true to the natives.
Cliff concluded, "Maybe when she moves here, she'll hire an LA stylist who can help her realize she is really not getting it here."
Victoria and her husband David will move to Tinsel Town with their three sons at the beginning of July.
