Amy Winehouse wants to write a children's book. The troubled singer has been writing poems about her life after being inspired by her friend, Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty, and hopes to inspire youngsters with her literary offerings.

A source said: "Amy's been stimulated since living in St. Lucia. She loves the chilled out atmosphere and has found it has encouraged her to write again."

Pete Doherty wants to headbutt Kate Moss' boyfriend and "run off" with her. The rocker was left furious at being banned from a Lily Allen concert in case he saw the supermodel - who dumped him in July 2007 - and her lover Jamie Hince, but admits any chance encounter could have turned ugly.

He said: "I wanted to see Lily Allen play the other week, but her record label got in touch and said, 'We don't want you there because Kate Moss will be there and it will take attention away from Lily. Can you not go?'"

Pete Doherty says Paris inspired his new solo album. The former Libertines singer wrote the majority of LP Grace/Wastelands in the French capital, and says the city spurred him on to produce some of his best songs to date.

British-born Pete said: "Paris has a strangely inspirational effect on me. I always write when I'm in Paris, I've written some of my best songs there. It's definitely a new era, a new way of doing things."

Pete Doherty only checks into rehab to stay out of jail. The Babyshambles singer thinks addiction programs are "impossibly dull" and should be avoided at all costs.

He said: "When I go to rehab, it's usually because I've been given the choice of rehab or jail. When you're there, it's not even giving up drugs that's hard, it's that you have to give up everything."
