Pete Doherty is attempting once again to clean up his life. But like previous efforts, his plan is not going smoothly.

The chronic drug addict, who recently became single after cheating on supermodel Kate Moss, has been ordered by a judge into rehab or faces a jail sentence. Pete has until August 7 to check into a treatment facility.

Reports were circulating that the Baby Shambles front man left rehab almost immediately, however his lawyer Sean Curran has revealed that the star is not planning to begin his treatment until Monday July 23.

The legal representative said, "Pete has been in Harrogate over the weekend, but is not due in the clinic. He is due at the clinic next Monday."

The musician is currently in Harrogate, England, preparing to go into drug rehabilitation.

But Pete is still facing legal trouble despite his intentions to turn his life around. According to The Sun newspaper, he was pulled over by police after throwing rubbish out of a mini-cab in London. He was let off with a $200 fine.

A witness said, "He looked pretty sheepish, like he was embarrassed to get done for such yobbish antics. He scrabbled around in his pockets to find papers that could prove who he was. The policeman gave him a stern ticking-off, then issued him with the fine. It looked like he got a severe warning."

Pete has been living in a trailer in East London since splitting with his very famous and wealthy girlfriend.
