Pete Doherty is charging just $200 to perform at private parties.

The Babyshambles rocker agreed to play at a fan's birthday bash for the paltry sum and has now been bombarded with requests to play at other events.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The birthday girl's dad told him she was a huge fan and that he'd give him Ł100 to perform at her party.

"Pete was flattered and happy to oblige He turned up and played his big hits. Everyone had a great time.

"Her dad told the local paper and Pete is now in huge demand." Doherty used to charge fans just Ł10 to hear him play in his flat when he was still in The Libertines to help pay for his expensive drug habit.

His measly prices are a million miles away from what the world's best musicians charge for private shows.

The Rolling Stones demand up to $8 million - making them the most expensive party act on the planet. The Eagles charge $7.5 million, followed by Canadian singer Celine Dion who commands around $6.6 million.

George Michael banked $3 million to play at a Russian billionaire's house on New Year's Eve, while Sir Elton John asked one British businessman to pay him $2 million to treat guests at his wedding reception to his biggest hits.
