Following the emergence of strange footage featuring him and pal Amy Winehouse playing with day-old mice, Pete Doherty explains that it is just part of "loads of new stuff" she's recording.
Doherty explains to reporters at a charity football tournament in East London what the video is all about.
He said, "One of the mice gave birth, didn't it? I think it was Jennifer. She (Winehouse) was really fond of them."
The Babyshambles rocker then added that his troubled friend is "great at the moment" and is currently busy recording "loads of new stuff."
He continued, "I kind of took a bit of a back seat. She said 'listen to this new song, listen to this new song, record this, record this.' I've got a truckload of some of her stuff and I'm going through it."
Another video has emerged from which Winehouse and her goddaughter were covering an Alicia Keys song. Doherty is believed to be behind the camera filming the two.
