Pete Doherty may have had several run-ins with the law, but he certainly has perceptive.
The junkie rocker, out on bail after yet another arrest for drug possession, has admitted that he has messed up his life. Pete stated the obvious to a taxi driver who witnessed a fight between the musician and his supermodel girlfriend, Kate Moss.
According to cab driver Roland Andrews, Pete and Kate had an argument outside her North London home.
He told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper that he drove Pete to the house, "Then all of a sudden Kate comes running out in her skimpy nightdress and hurls a glass at my cab. She was screaming all sorts at him and Pete shouted at me to head for the Cotswolds to get as far away from her as possible. As I started driving he tried to explain the ruckus, saying, 'Women trouble. I've messed up my life. I've messed up with everyone around me'."
Being the gentleman that he is, Pete then attempted to avoid the pricy cab fare by offering up some of Kate's possessions.
The driver continued, "He asked me to help him unload his stuff into Kate's house and then he said, 'If there's anything here you want then help yourself to it. The missus won't mind.'"
Roland didn't take Pete up on the offer to own one of Kate's signature items. However, at least it is clear that the Baby Shambles frontman knows that his life is in... well, shambles.
