She may have gotten on their nerves every year but now, Britney Spears is being offered a job by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals as a "virtual receptionist" after they were impressed with the "Toxic" singer's performance last week.
In a letter addressed to the 26-year-old pop star, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has offered Spears an olive branch by giving her a "real job" as a receptionist after seeing her impressive performance as a receptionist in "How I Met Your Mother" last week.
PETA says Spears would see why the group is so concerned about issues like fur and homeless dogs and cats if she is willing to take the job.
And the compensation? PETA would donate $1,000 to a children's charity if she would cooperate.
The letter partly reads: "We might have criticized you in the past for contributing to the dog overpopulation crisis and wearing real fur, but perhaps now that your own crisis has abated, a new day calls for a new relationship, a new outlook, and a new understanding."
The animal rights activists have yet to receive a response from Spears.
