Rod Stewart is moving back to the U.K. as he thinks it is a "safer place" for his young son. The 64-year-old Scottish rocker and his wife Penny Lancaster are returning to the U.K. from Los Angeles to enroll their three-year-old son Alastair at a top private school.

The couple - currently trying for their second child together - are believed to be moving to prevent any chance of Alastair "going off the rails" in the U.S.

Rod Stewart has set Rhys Ifans a series of tests to prove he is worthy to date his daughter. The actor is currently romancing the "Maggie May" singer's daughter Kimberly, 29, and Rod is determined to discover Rhys' interests before he gives the relationship his blessing.

The 63-year-old rocker's wife, Penny Lancaster, 37, told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Rod really likes Rhys and wants to get to know him and what makes him tick."

Rachel Hunter has got engaged. The 38-year-old model - the ex-wife of rocker Rod Stewart - is set to wed Canadian ice hockey player Jarret Stoll, 26.

The couple - who have been together for two years - are due to tie the knot next year.

Penny Lancaster says cosmetic surgery makes her feel sick. The model doesn't understand why people would have unnecessary medical procedures, but admits she would never totally rule out going under the knife.

She said: "When I think about giving birth, I can't understand why women would opt for surgery, a Caesarean, if medically it's not necessary."
