Snoop Dogg has begged Sir Paul McCartney and Madonna to help him get into the U.K. The rap star - who has also called on soccer ace David Beckham to back his cause - wants his A-list friends to write to U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown to insist he is granted a visa.

Snoop was arrested at London's Heathrow airport in April 2006 after his entourage vandalized a whiskey shop and attacked seven police officers when they were turned away from the first class lounge.

Homeowners close to his 1,500 acre Peasmarsh property in East Sussex say the animals, which weigh up to 900lbs, are "wreaking havoc" but the staunch vegetarian won't take action despite government policy saying landowners have the power to cull wild boar if they threaten the environment, farming or human safety.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The boar are doing huge damage. They are also dangerous if confronted."

Sir Paul McCartney is inspired by magpies. The former Beatles star, who has penned several songs about birds, spends hours watching his black and white feathered friends when they flock to his garden.

He said: "The only thing I'm superstitious about is magpies. I see a lot of them and when you do, you spit or salute and I happen to spit."

Sir Paul McCartney is on a diet to please his girlfriend. The former Beatles star is trying to abstain from his favorite sweet treats in order to stay trim for American lover Nancy Shevell.

Vegetarian Paul, who was accompanied by Nancy to a party at his fashion designer daughter Stella's boutique, said: "I'm trying to lay off the chocolates. I've got to stay in shape for the other half."
