Madonna is so depressed over her adoption rejection she has stopped eating and exercising. The singer has allegedly gone into a downward spiral since a court ruled against her adoption of four-year-old Mercy James from Malawi earlier this month, and friends are worried for her health.

A source said: "She has abandoned her strict macrobiotic diet and is virtually eating nothing. She has even stopped training since she returned from Malawi and seems to be in a trance a lot of the time."

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are set to record a new album together. The former Beatles - who performed together at a charity concert in New York on Saturday - plan to head into the studio later this year.

A source said: "It has been a long time since Ringo played drums on any of Paul's songs but they've decided they can work together again."

Jennifer Aniston was spotted "checking out" a handsome stranger on Saturday. The "Marley and Me" actress, who parted ways with John Mayer last month, showed she was over the musician when a mystery hunk caught her attention at Sir Paul McCartney's concert in New York.

A source said: "She looked really happy. There was a definite glow to her. She couldn't stop smiling."

Sir Paul McCartney is building a $200,000 guesthouse on his Hamptons estate. The Beatles legend already has two properties on his land in the exclusive New York area and is adding a modest three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

Paul and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell toured the grounds of the Amagansett estate for almost an hour on Sunday to see how the new house was coming along.
