Paul McCartney proudly declares he is a vegetarian. In a new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ad campaign entitled "I Am A Vegetarian," the Beatles legend has strike a pose and dishes why he decided to stop eating meat.

In the ad, the 65-year-old rock royalty states:

"Many years ago, I was fishing, and as I was reeling in the poor fish, I realized, 'I am killing him - all for the passing pleasure it brings me.' Something inside me clicked. I realized as I watched him fight for breath that his life was as important to him as mine is to me."

"I am Paul McCartney, and I am a vegetarian."

The animal rights activist group is also printing testimonials from other celebrity vegetarians like Alicia Silverstone, Pam Anderson, Casey Affleck, and Forest Whitaker.
