After some first class sun and sand in Hawaii, Paris Hilton is apparently ready to make good of her promise and become a better person.
The starlet fled to Maui just days after being released from prison and began relaxing at the Four Seasons Hotel, enjoying the surf, shops and sun on the island.
While in prison for violating her DUI probation, Paris made many promises to start using her fame for good and vowed to show the world just how sweet a person she is.
Now that she is rested, the star is ready to do just that. She wrote an open letter on her MySpace blog that said, "Hey everyone! I'm back from my much needed vacation in Maui. It was so beautiful and relaxing. But it's good to be home again. I just want to thank you all for your letters of love and support. I am doing my best to respond to each and every one with the letter I wrote-that message was for fans like you who have supported me through it all."
While she wouldn't go into detail about what she plans to do with her time now that she is now longer a singer or party girl, she revealed, "I wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be updating my MySpace and writing in more cause I haven't done it in awhile. The past month has inspired me to move forward with some exciting new projects, so I will keep you all posted."
The poster girl for bad driving also warned fans about the dangers of driving while under the influence. She concluded, "Happy 4th of July everyone, and remember to be responsible and have a designated driver! Just looking out for you all. I love you and have an amazing summer!"
Paris revealed to both Ryan Seacrest and Larry King that she wants to start using her fame to help other people, rather than just herself.
The socialite is now back in L.A. and has been spotted behind the wheel of a car.
