Paris Hilton's actions have been speaking louder than her words lately.
She has been releasing statements saying that she is prepared to serve her sentence for violating her DUI probation, but the reality of serving 45 days behind bars is a lot harder than saying it and Paris hasn't been coping well.
She has already been temporarily released and then put back in her cell, been treated at a medical center and seen regularly by a psychiatrist.
Now on her second attempt in jail, Paris has released another statement claiming that she will learn something during solitary confinement - a far cry from the lessons she learned while partying at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.
"The Simple Life" star said, "Today, I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, I intend to serve my time at L.A. County Jail."
Paris said a similar statement just one week ago, but now after a small taste of life as a jailbird, she has acknowledged that it really is the hard life.
She continued, "Being in jail is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to think and I believe that I am learning and growing from this experience. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming."
The fame hungry and loving star also commented on the intense media attention surrounding her court hearings and prison sentence. While she is used to flashing anything she needs to make headlines, Paris says she was shocked at the attention, especially when there is war in the world.
Paris said, "I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things like the men and women serving our country in Iraq and other places around the world."
Men and women were also fighting in Iraq when Paris milked her sex-tape fame, wore dresses with no underwear and had a public feud with Nicole Richie.
