The reason why Paris Hilton was receiving packages of makeup and putting on hair extensions hours after her jail release has been revealed. The "ditzy" blonde was getting ready to do a photo shoot and give an interview to PEOPLE magazine.
In her first interview out of jail, the 26-year-old has opened up to the publication about her 23-day stay behind bars. She admits that in her first few days she was in "hysterics" and suffered what doctors described as "severe anxiety, panic attacks, claustrophobia," However, she managed to get through the rough patches by finding comfort in talking to other female inmates.
Paris says she understands that many people don't believe she's going to suddenly turn into a saint and transform her party girl image. But, she says, "They're wrong and they don't know me. I'm a good person. I'm a compassionate person. I have a big heart. I'm sincere, and they'll see."
Finally, she exclaimed, "Thank God I'm free!"
