Paris Hilton and Benji Madden split because Benji was jealous of her relationship with Britain's Prince William, it has been claimed.

The Good Charlotte rocker was said to be furious when William, who is second in line to the throne, told Paris he would be attending the New Year's Eve party she and Benji were scheduled to host in Sydney, Australia.

Paris Hilton has dumped Benji Madden. Hotel heiress Paris split from the Good Charlotte rocker earlier this week because the pair are "just too different" and have been spending too much time apart.

A friend of Paris told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "He has helped her grow up, but they are just way too different."

Chelsy Davy is a "sweetheart," says Paris Hilton. The hotel heiress met Chelsy - the girlfriend of Britain's Prince Harry - at a nightclub during her trip to the U.K. last month and has told friends the 23-year-old blonde was very friendly to her.

Paris is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Harry's girlfriend Chelsy was absolutely stunning and such a sweetheart. We spoke for ages."
