Paris Hilton is back - bigger than ever.
The socialite was released from prison just after midnight on June 26 and was greeted at the gates by hundreds of paparazzi and news crews eager to get the first shot of "The Simple Life" star. In true Paris form, she strutted down the road in high heels, ignoring the waiting press.
A few things had changed about the star, however. Gone were the blue contact lenses she wears in public, the fake tan, the heavy make-up and revealing clothes. Instead, a demure looking Paris strutted directly to a waiting car to hug her mother.
The hotel heiress, who found worldwide fame when a private sex tape was leaked onto the Internet, was serving three weeks in jail for a DUI probation violation.
Los Angeles Sheriff's spokesman, Steve Whitmore, said, "She fulfilled her debt. She was obviously in good spirits. She thanked people as she left."
During her time in jail, Paris made declarations that she is a changed woman and will start to use her fame for things other than party invitations and magazine covers. Before she was taken to prison, the star was snapped carrying copies of self-help books and The Bible. While behind bars, Paris responded to fan mail and revealed that she finally appreciated her life more.
The sometime actress-singer-author and perfume designer will be talking exclusively to Larry King, revealing the details about her life during and after jail.
Before then, however, the Hilton family is celebrating the most famous members return with a party. Parents Rick and Kathy Hilton are reportedly planning a fun and innocent affair, filled with balloons and cupcakes - a far cry from the parties that saw Paris drink and drive almost one year ago.
