Apparently, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears have become so close that they've probably forgotten what it's like to be without the other.
Paris Hilton recently canceled her appearance on the Billboard Music Awards after she objected to some jokes that were part of her Las Vegas gig. The jokes were said to poke fun at some of her celebrity friends, which probably included BritBrit, but the suddenly considerate starlet didn't want to have anything to do with the act.
The hotel heiress was set to co-host the awards ceremony on Monday night with her new best friend BritBrit. However, the two blondes have since decided to back out of their appearance and, most likely, party hard instead.
According to TMZ.com, Paris' representative, Elliot Mintz, said, "It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers. Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows."
