Fans of Paris Hilton cannot seem to cope with the fact that their idol will be out of the spotlight for 45 days.

Although many people are looking forward to some socialite-free days, those who support the hotel heiress want her sentence dropped completely.

Petitions have started online, endorsed by Paris through her MySpace page, which will then be handed to Governor Schwarzenegger to peruse and hopefully pardon.

However, Paris' fame probably won't even change the mind of a celebrity like Arnold Schwarzenegger. The action man-turned politician's spokesperson, Aaron McLear, told the Associated Press, "It would be premature for the governor to get involved until the individual has exhausted his or her judicial remedies."

Paris has also filed an appeal, fired and rehired her shamed publicist Elliott Mintz and... gone shopping since finding out that she will have to sit in a cell for 45 days.

For those wanting to show their support to Paris, whose claim to fame is a sex tape called "One Night In Paris," the petition can be found at FreeParis.org.
