Pamela Anderson has called for a statue of Colonel Sanders in Kentucky to be destroyed - saying it is a daily reminder of cruelty to chickens.
The furious actress wants the bust of the Colonel - who invented the secretrecipe which made his company Kentucky Fried Chicken one of the mostsuccessful fast food restaurants in the world - to be removed immediately.
Pamela, penned a letter to the Governor of Kentucky on behalf of PETA, which claims KFC - which has long been a target for animal rights campaigners - abuses chickens by cruelly plumping them up to make their burgers succulent.
She wrote, "The bust of Colonel Sanders stands as a monument to cruelty and has no place in the Kentucky State Capitol."
But Governor Ernie Fletcher has hit back at the busty star, saying, "ColonelSanders was one of Kentucky's most distinguished citizens, a greatentrepreneur and a fine charitable man of faith, and he certainly has aplace in Kentucky history. We believe he warrants appropriate recognition assuch."
Last week, Pamela wrote to bosses of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Vietnamaccusing them of fattening up their chickens so much their legs have beensnapping.
She alleges, "The chickens are bred and drugged so quickly that many become crippled under their own weight."
