Pamela Anderson and Julien McDonald's taste in fashion is very different.
So different, in fact, that the busty "Baywatch" star has refused to go to his London fashion show. The English designer is famous for his use of fur in his clothes, once being attacked by PETA protestors who threw flour on him and star Paris Hilton.
Now, PETA supporter Anderson has turned down an invite from McDonald saying, "I truly appreciate (it). I'm hoping you can extend your kindness to include animals. If you stop using fur, I'd be thrilled to attend a show of yours in the future."
The fashion designer, however, has refused to back down from his styling ways.
He responded to the actress by saying, "People who don't like fur can p**s off. I love fur. It's a beautiful, natural product from animals."
The bitter words between the two have caused PETA to weigh in on the action. The animal rights group released a statement, saying, "This animal cruelty will only stop when people stop buying Julien's designs and let him know that in the 21st century the killing of animals for their fur is unacceptable. The truly talented visionaries, like Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Westwood are able to design beautiful, fashionable, popular clothing without getting blood on their hands."
PETA director Poorva Joshipura added, "Julien MacDonald's latest fur-laden catwalk collection didn't surprise anyone. He is a dinosaur designer who lacks the compassion and the intellect to see that there is simply no beauty in cruelty."
McDonald's show was part of London Fashion Week.
