After almost a month of referring to an unnamed "other vehicle's driver," authorities have finally named the other party involved in Shia LaBeouf's July car crash.

Herbert Simon, 21, is believed to have had run a red light around 2:30 a.m. on July 27, causing the 22-year-old actor's Ford F-150 truck to hit his car.

Although authorities are still trying to find out if Simon was driving at that time, Los Angeles Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore tells E! news that he was issued a citation because it was his car that ran a red light.

The "Transformers" star was attempting a legal left turn in West Hollywood by the time of the accident, causing his truck to roll over twice.

LaBeouf and passenger, "Transformers 2" co-star Isabel Lucas, were taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

While Lucas was treated for minor injuries and released on the same day, he underwent surgery for breaking his left hand.

LaBeouf was also booked for suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence.
