Many actresses probably look forward to getting a chance to pucker their lips and kiss Orlando Bloom on the big screen, but the good-looking actor admits he doesn't necessarily enjoy making out with his co-stars. He says the situation is always just a little too "awkward" for him.
According to People magazine, the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" star says on-screen kissing makes him "uncomfortable" and "embarrassed."
He confessed, "In my new movie 'Haven' I hated kissing Zoe Saldana! I was like, 'Take your tongue out of my mouth, please. Your boyfriend is standing right there.' Most people think kissing beautiful co-stars must be great but it's always awkward."
Meanwhile, Orlando says he's not bothered about his sex symbol status having a negative effect on his career because it never did his idols any harm.
He revealed, "That doesn't bother me. Name any of my heroes, and they were hotties. Brando was a pin-up, so was James Dean, Paul Newman. I'm not going to rest on my 'teen hottie' laurels. I have aspirations to do more than that. Still, they're very loyal fans, those teenage girls! I definitely appreciate them."
However, Orlando - who recently split from "Superman Returns" actress Kate Bosworth - refused to comment on the breakup.
He explained, "People always ask me whether we're together or not. It's still nobody's business."
