A Harris poll finds Oprah Winfrey is the favorite U.S. TV personality for the fourth consecutive year and sixth overall, but Jon Stewart is hot on her heels.
Winfrey has finished among the top three in each of the 12 years Harris Interactive has conducted the annual poll. The latest results were culled from an online survey of 960 U.S. adults between Dec. 8 and Dec. 14.
Comedy Central's Jon Stewart is number two. He knocked CBS "Late Show" host David Letterman to the third spot.
NBC's "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno tied with Fox News' Bill O' Reilly at No. 4 and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres moved up one spot to No. 6.
NBC "Late Night" host Conan O'Brien debuted on the list at No. 7 and Jerry Seinfeld returned to the list at No. 8. Seinfeld last appeared on the list in 2000, but he apparently rebounded with the release of his popular TV show on DVD, Harris said in a news release.
Another newcomer, George Lopez, was ranked No. 9 and another blast from the past -- Tim Allen -- was No. 10. Ray Romano, Bill Cosby, Dr. Phil McGraw and Regis Philbin all fell off the list this year.
