Wacky yet true, Mel C has been offered sperm over the internet. The former Spice Girl has become the target of an online "operation," aiming to impregnate her.
Members of "Operation: Impregnate Mel C" have set up a profile on networking site Bebo where sperm donors eager to father the singer's first child can offer their "services."
The campaign was set up following Mel's former bandmate Emma Bunton's announcement on Friday that she is pregnant, meaning that of all the Spice Girls, Mel is the only one who has never had a child.
A description of the group's mission reads, "Mel C is the last Spice Girl to experience the joys of motherhood. She was the most attractive and the most talented of the band and she deserves children as much as her bandmates. Since she isn't ready to settle down with a man, we are offering to donate our sperm for her use. She can chose which member of 'O:IMC' she wants as the child's dad and doesn't have to let that member know."
However, 33-year-old Mel has passed on the unusual offer, saying, "I'm very happy as I am at the moment."
