Authorities have confirmed that Paris Hilton was reassigned to house arrest on Thursday at midnight.
The hotel heiress was reportedly release due to a medical condition and will complete her sentencing confined to her own home with an ankle bracelet.
Hilton's sentence was cut short from 45 days to 23 days for "good behavior."
During her brief stay in jail, she was held in solitary confinement inside a single cell with only one hour a day to watch television or take a shower.
Hilton was sentenced to jail after being charged for DUI and violating her probation twice after driving with a suspended license.
The Sheriff insists that Paris is still in custody and has not been released from jail - simply reassigned.
