Slash has quashed rumours he wants to rejoin Guns N' Roses.
The guitarist quit the band in 1996 after relations with singer Axl Rose broke down and internal strife within the group spiralled out of control.
Despite reports claiming he is on the brink of working with Axl again, Slash - who reunited with two of his former Guns N' Roses bandmates, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum, to form Velvet Revolver - insists he has no intention of rejoining the band.
He told MTV: "I don't know where these rumours come from, but I can definitely say, in the foreseeable future, I will have no involvement with that band whatsoever."
Earlier this year, Axl hinted he would let Slash rejoin the group - if he wanted to.
The wild rocker confessed he still loved his former friend and always thought he was one of the best guitarists in the world.
He said at the time: "I haven't spoken to Slash in ten years.
"I love the guy. I always wanted everyone to know how great he was."
The original line-up of Guns N' Roses split a decade ago, but Axl has been working under the group's name every since.
The band's long awaited new album, 'Chinese Democracy', is going to be released this year.
It will be the band's first new material since the two 'Use Your Illusion' albums, both released in 1991.
