Nicole Richie must have a very obscure sense of humor.
The skinny starlet, who is currently fighting off anorexia rumors, has been caught joking about eating disorders.
An e-mail invitation to what has become an infamous Memorial Day BBQ, where Mischa Barton was rushed to the hospital and Nicole allegedly collapsed, has been leaked and shows the extent of Nicole's denial.
After giving details of the party, Nicole wrote, "There will be a scale at the front door. No girls over 100 pounds allowed in. Start starving yourself now."
While "The Simple Life" star's publicist reasons that she was just having some fun by sending the e-mail, health experts are concerned about Nicole's mental state.
Dr. Joyce Brothers told In Touch magazine that the e-mail proves that the socialite is rebeling. She said, "Clearly, she is thumbing her nose at the people in rehab. It's a huge form of acting out, and it shows that the treatment for her eating disorder did not do any good."
Nicole reportedly began an outpatient program for anorexia and substance abuse. However, her weight has continued to plummet over the past few weeks.
Nutritionist Dr. Majid Ali continued to the tabloid that Nicole's appearance is a give away that she is malnourished. The doctor said, "I would place Nicole's weight at about 83 pounds. At 5'1, she should weigh 105 to 110 pounds. You can see a bit of bloat of her belly, consistent with a malnutrition syndrome. I would be very concerned for her health if I was a family member."
A source who attended the event, where Mischa reportedly fell to the ground and screamed that she was dying, confirmed that Nicole is shying away from improving her health. The insider said, "Nicole didn't eat anything."
Nicole's weight dropped to an all-time low last summer. After months of subtle weight gain, the hard work appears to have gone to waste.
