Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are getting ready for some more time apart in their short marriage.
The two stars will be on opposite sides of the world finishing work commitments. Although it was initially planned that Kidman would join her husband during his promotional tour of Australia, the Oscar winning actress has been forced to stay in the States and do her own press.
Urban will be traveling around his homeland, promoting his latest album "Love, Pain And The Whole Crazy Thing." He has previously postponed press engagements because of a three month long rehab stay at the Betty Ford clinic.
Kidman, meanwhile, will be in the U.S. promoting "The Golden Compass," "The Invasion" and "Margot At The Wedding," three films scheduled for release in 2007.
The star's Australian publicist, Wendy Day, told the Associated Press, "She is still in L.A. finishing her commitments to films she has made over the last 12 months, before she leaves to come back to Australia for an extended period to make 'Australia.'"
While the mother-of-two is forced to stay in America for the time being, she will be arriving in Australia in April to begin work on a new film.
The epic, "Eucalyptus," is directed by "Moulin Rouge" filmmaker Baz Lurhman.
Day continued, "She is very, very, very excited about coming back home. Obviously she can't be going back to America for any commitments while she is here filming 'Australia,' so that all has to be finished first."
But Kidman will be supporting her husband later in the year, when they are both Down Under at the same time.
Day said, "I presume she is going to want to try (to get to Urban's concerts), I guess it just depends on the schedule and where she is. I suppose she has to ask Baz whether he can let her off or not. Once you sign onto a film, that's your commitment... it's not her call."
