Los Angeles County Jail is just a few inmates away from having to have a red carpet permanently rolled out.
Nicole Richie is the second star this year to choose the Lynwood prison for her jail time for a DUI conviction.
The mother-to-be is reportedly going to the same prison that housed BFF Paris Hilton for 23 days - and could be let off within hours because of overcrowding and good behavior.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the L.A. Times newspaper, "Ms. Richie's attorney has contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and has indicated that her client wants to serve her sentence in the Los Angeles County jail."
Because she is pregnant, Nicole may also be put in the medical ward.
The former "The Simple Life" star was arrested in late 2006 for driving while under the influence of marijuana and vicodin. Lindsay Lohan is the next Hollywood party girl to face two DUI charges and may be moving into Paris and Nicole's cell.
